Volunteer with us
Do you have skills and time to share, and want to help people?
We are now recruiting for Volunteer Advisers, with a deadline to apply in January.
Please visit our Volunteer page for more information and how to apply.
Cost of living appeal
The Brighton & Hove Cost of Living Action Appeal is being run by Citizens Advice Brighton & Hove and Brighton & Hove Food Partnership, with support from Brighton & Hove City Council.
The appeal is aiming to raise ÂŁ35,000 in response to the impact the increasing cost of living is having on people in Brighton & Hove.
Food and energy bills are going up and incomes aren’t rising as quickly. People are experiencing greater hardship, especially the most vulnerable in our community.
All donations will be split equally, with 50% going to provide help with fuel poverty and 50% going to pay for emergency food.
Your help can make a difference.
You can read our press release with more information about the appeal here.
Cost of Living Crisis and the need for advice
Record numbers of people are turning to Citizens Advice for help as we face the cost-of-living crisis together.Â
Our volunteers and advisers are working flat out, answering as many calls and seeing as many people who have urgent and complex problems as we can.
We know that many people are struggling to get through to us, as we try to meet lots of demand for urgent advice.Â
We’re working with partners to help us meet more demand. We know there’s still a long way to go to get through this challenging time, but with continued support, we’ll be able to help many more of the people who urgently need advice.
