Salary: £25,878 – £27,852 full time equivalent salary depending on experience

Hours: Full time, part time considered 

Location: Hove Town hall – blended and remote working also considered

Contract: Fixed term until March 2025 with possibility of extension

Job outline:

Citizens Advice Brighton & Hove are currently seeking to recruit a Debt Adviser to join our thriving charity.

The purpose of the role is to provide tailored advocacy, advice and support to individuals and families struggling with debts, and provide them with help to overcome and prevent them from falling into similar situations again. This is a local service, working with communities within Brighton & Hove. 

Candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, with good understanding of interview skills and general advice work. Knowledge of benefits, budgeting or financial products could be a great asset.

The higher pay range is available to qualified and experienced debt advisers, but we encourage applications from candidates with any advice experience or those looking for a career change. We can offer full training and career development opportunities such as qualification as a DRO intermediary or technical supervisor.

This is a full time role, but part time hours could be considered for the right candidate.  We will also consider remote and blended working.
